Leading the end-to-end development of several internal web applications at one of the foremost providers of high-quality metadata as well as editorially prepared program information for the areas of television, radio and video on demand in Germany.
These applications improve the processing and monitoring of the large datasets. Making it as accessible as possible to visualize where data needs to be improved and make it as efficient as possible to edit the data. This includes creating custom editors for special file formats and custom input components.
Another responsibility is the development of tools that are involved in automatically improving the dataset by fetching relevant data from different sources, processing it and then connecting it to the existing data.
Developed a multiplatform software for the simple creation of video animations based on the sound analysis of music pieces.
We achieved better performance and faster video output rendering than Adobe After Effects, which is usually used to create these type of animations.
Leading a team of three, evaluation of technologies, design and implementation of the software and the website.
Leading the overhaul of the website's design, developing new features and creating new website areas on a tech reviewing website with one million visits per month.
Developing and designing a price comparison website from start to finish involving automated regular price queries at the stores and custom admin dashboards.
At the moment, I'm focused on developing a content management framework using SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, and SQLite. My ultimate goal is to create multiple comprehensive web content services that are all-batteries-included solutions. To achieve this, I'm also building all UI components from the ground up. I plan to open-source both the content management framework and the UI components in the coming weeks.
In addition to this project, I'm expanding my programming skills through exercises on Exercism.org and by exploring new programming languages. I'm currently learning Rust to strengthen my fundamentals with a systems programming language.
